I suffered with Terrible Headaches

Dr. Sue Martin (Chiropractor)

Throughout my childhood and teens I suffered with terrible headaches which was very distressing for both me and my parents. We had tried almost everything to get me some relief and nothing seemed to help.

When I was 15, a family friend was being treated by a Chiropractor and suggested that my parents take me to see him.  I had such significant relief from the treatment that my headaches almost entirely disappeared.

After having had such a positive experience with Chiropractic care, I became determined that this was what I wanted to pursue as a career. I was delighted when I was accepted into the 6 year Chiropractic Degree at Durban University of Technology. I completed my Master’s thesis and graduated in December 2006. During my studies, I was fortunate enough to be involved in a variety of voluntary community initiatives, from sporting events to work at rural community centers. Some of the most inspiring work which I have done was at the Durban Children’s Home, working with HIV/AIDS orphans. Their courage and zest for life despite the tragedies they had endured was incredibly humbling.

At Clacton Chiropractic Clinic

In practice I strive to maintain an excellent standard of care for all my patients. I am passionate about Chiropractic and the most rewarding part of working with people is not only when they are well and responding to treatment, but to get to know them and their families is such a pleasure.

I find the following quote inspiring and this really sums up how I strive to approach my life and practice: “The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both.” (James A. Michener 1907-1997)

I hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health needs.
